Subject: IT Deptt & GST Custom Deptts to release pending tax refunds Immediately to give relief in wake of COVID-19 outbreak
Dear Member,
Your kind attention is invited to CBIC has taken various trade friendly initiatives to avoid any possible disruption from COVID – 19 and it was decided that the IT Department of Govt of India to releae pending income tax refunds up to Rs. 5 lakhs immediately to give relief in the wake of COVID 19 outbreak, and around 14 lakhs tax payers are going to be benefited from this move.
It is also decided that all GST & CUSTOM refunds also to be released; to provide benefits to around 1 lakh business entities / Companies / Firms including MSMEs.
A detailed Notification on the issues will be issued shortly.
Members are requested to make a note of the above.
